Megan Asrani

Megan Asrani joined Hanger Steinberg Shapiro & Ash as an attorney in December 2019. Ms. Asrani represents individuals and private entities in general liability matters with an emphasis on real property disputes, including complex construction defects, and premises liability actions.

Ms. Asrani obtained her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in May 2019. While at Pepperdine, she was a Staff Member of the Pepperdine Law Review and completed her Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Pepperdine School of Law Straus Institute. Additionally, Ms. Asrani worked as a research assistant for Professor Bernard James, which entailed reviewing and analyzing developments in education law and policy to update Professor James' casebook and assisting Professor James in designing the curriculum and writing the exams for his first-year Constitutional Structure course, as well as hosting office hours to provide additional help and instruction for Constitutional Structure students. Before joining the firm as a clerk in May 2018, Ms. Asrani clerked with the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel and the California Department of Insurance.

Ms. Asrani received her Bachelor's in Political Science and History of Art & Architecture from the University of California, Santa Barbara in June 2016.
