Maria Papiryan
Maria (Masha) Papiryan joined Hanger, Steinberg, Shapiro & Ash as a post-bar law clerk in September 2025.
Ms. Papiryan earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, along with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, in May 2025. During law school, Ms. Papiryan served as a Senior Staff Member of the Pepperdine Dispute Resolution Law Journal. She participated in the London Program and was a member of several student organizations, including the Women’s Legal Association and Armenian Law Student Association. For two semesters, Ms. Papiryan also externed at 7 For All Mankind, assisting the fashion brand’s in-house legal counsel with matters pertaining to sustainability and measuring the brand’s environmental impact based on international regulations.
Before law school, Ms. Papiryan graduated with High Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies, in December 2020. During her time at the University of California, Santa Barbara, she studied in Switzerland for a semester, was part of the Letters & Sciences Honors Program, and received an Academic Excellence Award upon graduation.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and dancing.
