Kelly Danker
Ms. Danker joined Hanger, Steinberg, Shapiro, and Ash as a law clerk in May 2021. She has over a year of experience assisting in litigating various matters including property disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, personal injury, and wrongful death.
Ms. Danker earned her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law in May 2022. She also earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, as well as a Criminal Law Certificate. She was a member of the Pepperdine Mock Trial Team for one semester, learning invaluable trial skills.
Ms. Danker is passionate about public service. While at Pepperdine, she participated in the Pepperdine Restoration and Justice Clinic, a nonprofit that provides legal services to survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking. She also helped draft proposed legislation addressing human trafficking in California.
Ms. Danker clerked for the Honorable Barry Ted Moskowitz in the Southern District of California, where she drafted an opinion on spoliation. She also has experience in criminal law, working for the Los Angeles District Attorney, the San Diego District Attorney, and the San Luis Obispo District Attorney.
Prior to attending Pepperdine, Ms. Danker attended California Polytechnic State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. In her free time, Ms. Danker enjoys attending live music concerts and exploring the great outdoors.
